A significant upgrade is planned for the intersection of Scarborough Beach Road and Green Street. The current two-stage road will be replaced with a new dual-lane roundabout, improving traffic flow and road safety.
A new shared path has been included in the project design, enhancing connectivity for the high volume of path users between the Glendalough train station and local businesses.
Following community feedback, the planned closure of a section of Green Street for the construction of the roundabout has been postponed.
The construction approach is being reconsidered to ensure the duration of road closures is minimised.
