The Hillarys Cycle Network Expansion project will offer key coastal connections for people walking, wheeling and riding in Perth’s north-west.

Section 1: Hepburn Avenue - Whitfords Ave to Gibson Ave (2.6 km). This shared path was completed in early 2024 and is co-funded by the State Government and City of Joondalup through the Cycling Election Commitments package. The path connects to Hillarys Boat Harbour and improves connectivity to Padbury Primary School and Duncraig Senior High School.

Section 2: Coastal Section South (5 km). This section was completed in late 2025 and connects Hillarys Boat Harbour to North Mullaloo.

Section 3: Coastal Section North (2.6 km). This shared path upgrade is due for completion in mid-2026 and will complete the connection from Ocean Reef Marina to Burns Beach.

Once complete, the Hillarys Cycle Network Expansion project will provide more than 10 kilometres of new and upgraded active transport infrastructure in the area.

Both coastal sections are fully funded as part of the State Government’s Cycling Election Commitments package.
