The shared path along the Armadale rail line will be extended on the western side of Rutland Avenue from Great Eastern Highway to Miller Street, providing greater connections and convenience to people walking, wheeling and riding.

Stage 1 of the project included construction of a 550-metre-long shared path from Miller Street to Bishopsgate Street near Victoria Park train station. This section was completed in October 2023.

Stage 2, which will continue the path from Bishopsgate Street to Great Eastern Highway, is in the detailed design phase.

This project is being delivered by the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure in partnership with the Town of Victoria Park.
