The Forrest Highway Intersection is undergoing upgrades to ease congestion and improve accessibility.

Planned works include a new intersection west of the existing Vittoria Road, and an access road between Forrest Highway and Jeffrey Road.

With more than 30,000 vehicles passing through the intersection per day, and a large number of pedestrians crossing at various points along Vittoria Road, the alternative access to Glen Iris will improve traffic flow and road safety.

Preconstruction works began on site in late-2024.
