EastLink WA is a culmination of more than 40 years of road planning activities for the north-eastern corridor of the Perth metropolitan area and Wheatbelt region.
The project aims to deliver a safer and more efficient route between Perth and Northam to accommodate the anticipated rise in regional and interstate freight movement, as well as projected population growth.
The planning and development phase is now complete, however project development commencement is pending funding commitment.
The Reid Highway Interchanges project forms part of EastLink WA and will provide a safe and continuous route for residents, tourists and heavy vehicles. Construction of new bridged (grade separated) interchanges along Reid Highway are planned to start in 2025.
